It's time to upgrade Cassie's pump, and we're excited that the Deltec Cozmo insulin pump with the built in glucometer has gotten FDA approval. It's going to be a big shift getting the new pump dialed in after finally getting the Minimed 508 working so well, but the added features will be a big step in giving our little 8 year old a bit more independence. We figure that by giving her the tools to help calculate her boluses, she'll gain confidence in self-management of her diabetes (but we will by no means give up doing most of the work while we can!).
