One of the scariest parts of diabetes is having to deal with injections- whether from a syringe or a pump's infusion needle. The spectre of the that pointy needle has always been a queasy fear. Now, HP and Crospon, a medical device company, have developed a way to more effectively deliver drugs over skin. This is called transdermal delivery and may prove to be a painless replacement to conventional injections. They've developed a pad/patch with microneedles that may be on the market as early as 2010.
